The customer, a leading manufacturer of
medical diagnostic equipment, was developing a new portable ECG
(electrocardiogram) device. The device needed to be both compact and reliable,
with precise signal processing capabilities. The challenge was to incorporate
resistors that could ensure accurate measurements over long periods of use,
despite the variations in temperature and humidity that often occur in medical
environments.
We worked closely with the customer to
design thick film resistors that would provide exceptional accuracy and
stability for ECG signal processing. These resistors were designed with a tight
tolerance of 卤0.5%, ensuring that even the smallest
variations in electrical resistance wouldn鈥t interfere
with the device鈥s performance. The resistors were made
from high-quality ceramic substrates that could withstand fluctuations in
temperature (from 0掳C to 60掳C) and humidity (up to 95% RH), which are common in
medical environments.
We conducted extensive testing to meet
medical industry standards. Each batch of resistors underwent accelerated life
testing, simulating 10 years of use, to ensure the components could withstand
continuous operation without failure.
